SUMMARY: As the Operations Manager you will monitor the quality of the molding manufacturing process, analyze production problems, and recommend corrective actions as needed. In addition, it will be your mission to implement programs and procedures that pertain to production control and the proper supervision and training of molding operators and other operations personnel.

SUMMARY: As the Operations Manager you will monitor the quality of the molding manufacturing process, analyze production problems, and recommend corrective actions as needed. In addition, it will be your mission to implement programs and procedures that pertain to production control and the proper supervision and training of molding operators and other operations personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following although other duties may be assigned:
- Develops procedures, training documents and forms to improve the quality of operations
- Reviews molding operators scrap rates and cycle efficiencies with supervisors
- Reviews completed jobs and the line clearance forms - to ensure accurate completion
- Ensure Daily 5 S checks are completed, and machines and plant are kept clean using 5 S schedule and machine status signs are updated
- Make sure that operators are reading the ICRR (Item current routing report) at the start of each shift
- Assist Tech.'s when needed on the floor with difficult processing issues
- Reviews operator efficiency reports by machine and reviews with supervisors - comparing to standards
- Reviews rework activity, and analyzes root causes
- Create continuous improvement to increase productivity and quality
- Manages production activities to ensure a clean and safe work environment is provided and that operational performance and maintenance functions are performed as required
- Resolves employee issues following established company policies and consults with Human Resources for action on serious issues
- Maintains vacation schedule for all subordinates and coordinates backup coverage for all vacation requests
- Analyzes production problems and determine the root cause of problems, conferring with engineering, process, tool room and maintenance personnel and management as required
- Determines and recommends corrective actions and work with off shift supervisors to implement and determine effectiveness
- Attend and contribute to morning and afternoon production meetings
- Maintain a working liaison with Process Manager, Engineering Manager and Quality Manager to ensure efficient resolution to all problems as they may occur
- Other duties / projects may be assigned by the C.O.O.
- SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for training, evaluation and oversight of all operations personnel, including supervisors, tool room, process and maintenance.
