Sales Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and market expansion goals.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team (including inside sales, field sales, and reps) to exceed performance metrics.
- Identify new business opportunities, including retail partnerships, distributors, and direct-to-consumer channels.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to refine sales approaches.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including major retailers, distributors, and outdoor industry partners.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and promotional strategies to maximize profitability.
- Drive sales growth in both domestic and international markets.
- Represent our client at trade shows, industry events, and dealer meetings.
- Establish and monitor KPIs, sales forecasts, and budgets.
- Utilize CRM and sales analytics tools to track performance and optimize strategies.
- Provide regular sales reports and insights to executive leadership.
- Work closely with Marketing to align sales initiatives with branding, advertising, and promotional campaigns.
- Partner with Product Development to provide customer feedback and market insights.
- Collaborate with Operations and Customer Service to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA a plus).
- 7 years of sales leadership experience in the sporting goods, outdoor, or optics industry.
- Proven success in driving B2B and B2C sales, preferably with premium technical products.
- Strong network of industry contacts (retailers, distributors, dealers).
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in CRM software and sales metrics.
- Passion for hunting, shooting sports, or outdoor activities (preferred).
- Willingness to travel as needed (up to 30%)
