Here is what you can do for Wabash Center as our Billing Specialist:
- The Billing Specialist will submit claims, record financial transactions, and provide administrative support for current and prospective clients and their families within SOAR, Wabash Center's ABA Clinic.
- This position will also be responsible for submitting authorizations and resolving insurance issues and denials.
- Review, submit, and track prior authorizations and claims for ABA therapy rendered. Prepare invoices and collect and track payments for co-insurance and deductibles from clients.
- Maintain accurate and complete billing records and reports.
- Resolve billing issues, such as discrepancies or denials, by communicating with funders, clients, and other stakeholders
- Monitor and track waitlist communication and assist with other administrative support for the department, including answering the phone, faxing, and emailing information to various customers, including current and prospective families, case management teams, and insurance funders
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.

- Comply with all safety policies and procedures and report all unsafe working conditions and potential hazards to the immediate supervisor
- Perform other related duties as assigned verbally or in writing by the immediate supervisor or designee

QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant certifications and/or degrees are highly desired. Relevant certificate and degree programs should cover medical coding, billing, or a related field.
- Experience in a similar industry or field is desired, but not required.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred and/or relevant related work experience.

Square and Excel experience and skills are desired, and an advanced level of proficiency in
both programs is highly desirable.
