Ward and Smith, P.A. is a growing full-service law firm with multiple offices throughout North Carolina. We pride ourselves in providing quality service to our clients through a culture of teamwork and collegiality. We are seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to join our Business Law Practice in our New Bern office.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to: creating, proofing, editing, revising, and printing correspondence, memoranda, and legal documents; assisting with travel arrangements; calendar management; meeting scheduling; group coordination; and other related administrative duties. Successful candidates will be proficient in Microsoft Word, possess strong grammar and punctuation skills, and be able to prioritize work assignments to meet critical deadlines.
This individual should be multi-task oriented, have excellent written and oral communication skills, strong organizational skills, initiative and commitment to learning, and be able to function well in a fast-paced environment. Must be a team player. Experience working in a Business Law setting is helpful, though not required. At least two years' experience in a professional services environment preferred. Must have a NC Notary Public commission or the ability to obtain same.
