What are the responsibilities and job description for the Practice Development Manager position at Warner Norcross + Judd?
Warner Norcross Judd LLP is excited to announce our search for a Practice Development Manager to join our Business Development Marketing team in our Grand Rapids or Detroit office. This position will provide strategic support to ensure that the firm delivers exemplary client service. The role provides direction and support to practice and industry groups to maintain focus on and progress toward goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
Practice & Industry Group Management
1. Assist with the development and help manage implementation of strategic business plans for assigned practice and industry groups annually and report progress related to milestones and KPIs
2. Work with practice and industry group leadership, as well as the business development leads, to develop agendas for regular group meetings and manage action items resulting from meetings; and regularly share progress, success and upcoming activity updates with key constituents
3. Work with business development leads to track and report on business development activities and initiatives, periodically sharing updates with participants among the groups
4. Coordinate the development and implementation of groups’ marketing activities, client events, sponsorships, seminars and webinars, and client communications
5. Work closely with the events manager and members of the marketing team on logistics and promotion of practice/industry group programs, events related to business development, and client communications
6. Collaborate with business development and marketing department on projects as needed
Client Service Management
1. Work with client service manager and members of the client service teams to assist them in meeting goals for growth
2. Identify client service opportunities with existing clients and develop and implement strategies to provide superior client service
3. Work with CRM systems specialist to manage client contact lists for all client teams and ensure that appropriate client contacts are invited to firm programs
4. Work with experience database team to manage information concerning the firm’s experiences to be listed on firm’s external website and used for pitches and proposals

Experience, Education and Training
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3-5 years of experience
- Professional services experience preferred
- Proficiency in relevant firm software packages including, but not limited to Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs, as well as general knowledge of databases preferred
