What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Generalist position at Washington County Mental Health Services?
SUMMARY OF POSITION: This position is responsible for supporting the Maintenance of all agency properties. This position also responds to help desk tickets and emergency work as assigned.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintenance includes:
- Painting
- Carpentry
- Plumbing
- Electrical work (wiring & re-wiring);
- Roofing; vinyl and wood sidings and trims and replacement/repair of broken windows and doors, maintenance of flooring (installation and maintenance of all types);
- Knowledge of sprinkler systems, heating systems, fire panel systems and internal alarm systems.
- Assist as backup for Janitorial and Housekeeping.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED. Must possess a clean driving record.
Experience:
Must be well versed in the following areas:
- Plumbing and heating (min. 2 years of self-directed, independent work experience);
- Carpentry at all levels (min. 1 year);
- Electrical (min. 3 years);
- Roofing (min 2 years); excellent knowledge of drafting and engineering skills, as well as the ability to read and translate blueprints.
- Must have a minimum of one year past experience in flooring, painting, vinyl and wood sidings and trim
- Appliance and furnace repair knowledge and experience a plus
