POSITION: WCMHS is actively seeking a Residential Program Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care within a developmental services residential setting, including thorough health assessments, medication management, and development of individualized treatment plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. This role oversees the entire medication process—from pharmacy coordination to accurate administration—while ensuring compliance with agency protocols and regulations. The RN delegates selected nursing tasks to unlicensed residential staff, offering education and ongoing support to maintain safety and adherence to care standards. Responsibilities also include health education for residents, coordination and delivery of annual medical trainings for support staff, and meticulous documentation of medical records and treatments. The RN works closely with healthcare providers, case managers, and therapists to ensure seamless care coordination and communicates regularly with program managers to support continuity of care. Additionally, the RN provides on-call nursing support and may cross-train within the nursing department, fulfilling other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing. This position plays a vital role in promoting resident well-being and maintaining high-quality nursing services within the residential program.

QUALIFICATIONS: The preferred combination of education and relevant experience for this position includes:
- Current Vermont RN licensure in good standing
- Experience working with the relevant populations (i.e., individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, individuals with chronic and persistent mental health needs, etc.)
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and experience working in a residential setting is highly desired
- The ability to work independently as well as a team member, and to serve as an example of professional nursing excellence.
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and productively with internal and external partners
- Understanding of and commitment to advancing the WCMHS mission and supporting the provision of collaborative and inclusive mental health, development disability, and substance use services
