Outreach Coordinator

Washington County HCP Department
FULLTIME WITH BENEFITS
$22.15 HOURLY / 40 HOURS PER WEEK
Performs a variety of professional duties relating to the planning, coordinating and implementing of public education programs to elevate the awareness of the mission, purpose and operation of Washington County HCP, Red Cliffs Desert Reserve, and Confluence Park. Also supports a variety of duties related to public use in the Reserve and management of the visitor center.
Acts as a liaison to the public and entities within the county; assists in review and processing of inquiries, disseminates program information; educates local leaders regarding wildlife, trails, and habitat.
Interacts and gives presentations to various user groups, community groups, schools, recreation groups, HOA's, etc. Conducts public relations campaigns; promotes use of various media, including websites, radio, TV, newspaper, social media, and bill-board advertisements to enhance community ownership of the reserve and confluence park. Responds to site "contact us" correspondence; posts various announcements and informative materials on the website.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Graduation from college with a bachelor's degree in, biology, environmental
education, public relations, marketing, business administration or a related
field.
AND -
Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience performing above or
related duties.
OR - An equivalent combination of education and experience.
