Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Product Management team and of software team to define software product strategies that will result in sustainable and profitable growth for MALS products
- Maintain MALS product and release roadmaps guided by input from customers and field sales representatives that is supported by detailed market analysis
- Visit high-value customers and ensure a strong “voice of customer” to generate a clear understanding of their challenges and needs
- Inspire and influence colleagues to work across a matrix organization (Hardware R&D, Software R&D, Operations, Manufacturing, Service, Marketing, Sales)
- Test new products and collaborate closely with software and hardware test teams
- Work closely with the marketing team to ensure product launches are best in class and result in growth targets being met over the lifecycle of the product
- Work closely with the Customer Support and Service team to prioritize and resolve customer issues associated with MALS products
- Track metrics related to software products and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s of Science Degree required. Master’s or Ph.D. is preferred in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, or chemical engineering.
- Three (3) years in sales/marketing/product management; Two (2) years in laboratory instrument support, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with light scattering and/or HPLC.
- Willingness to perform hands-on activities.
- Open and effective communication style, excellent writing and public presentation skills, strong people skills, cross-organizational teamwork and the ability to interact with and influence the direction of key opinion leaders.
- Understand and develop a Product Lifecycle for MALS instruments and its supporting software.
- Ability to travel 20-25% of time both domestically and internationally.
