What You'll Do

As a Geotechnical Engineer at Watson, you'll:

• Conduct investigations, designs, and analysis for both residential and commercial projects.
• Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, and project managers to turn client visions into realities.
• Perform site visits and geotechnical analysis.
• Prepare rock-solid reports and recommendations based on real field data.
• Lead client meetings and communicate technical info in ways real people understand.
• Roll up your sleeves and help with fieldwork and lab testing—no one here is above getting a little dirty.
• Stay sharp on safety, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
• Handle multiple projects across diverse industries with a laser focus on quality and service.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

This role is ideal for someone who:

• Holds a B.S. in Civil, Geotechnical, or a related engineering discipline.
• Has a PE or EIT in Utah, or is on track to earn one.
• Is confident using geotechnical software and AutoCAD Civil 3D (or similar tools).
• Loves both the field and the lab.
• Has strong communication skills and isn’t afraid to pick up the phone or get on-site to solve a problem.
• Takes pride in hustle, urgency, and exceeding client expectations.
• Can lift 60 lbs and work comfortably outdoors in a variety of conditions.
• Has construction or inspection experience (bonus points, but not required).
• Enjoys working hard and having fun with a team that supports and challenges each other.
