Watson Engineering (located in Southern Utah) is a full-service engineering firm looking for a structural or civil engineer who loves design and is passionate about building and maintaining the TRUST of our clients. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who isn’t afraid to put in the hard work and contribute fresh ideas to help us grow. This is not a position where the phone rings and you just run calculations. We want someone who enjoys the challenge of solving problems, working with clients, and building lasting relationships.

What You'll Be Working On

Generating complete and accurate designs and reports for civil, residential, and commercial construction projects. You’ll be working with our clients to provide an outstanding design experience. We’re looking for someone who understands that a structure is only as strong as the foundation it is built upon, and that some projects begin with just a sketch on a napkin. Responsibilities

• Work closely with other engineers, surveyors and project managers to bring client visions to life.
• Complete civil and/or structural design for both commercial and residential projects.
• Perform site visits, run calculations, and design.
• Lead project design meetings and collaborate with clients to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Go the extra mile to exceed client expectations and ensure satisfaction.
• Handle a variety of projects across different industries.
  
  

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering. Utah Professional Engineer license or E.I.T. E.I.T. must be able to work toward PE licensure; obtain PE within 2 years.
• Experience and working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in calculations and designs.
• Proven ability to solve problems with practical and reliable solutions.
• Strong communicator, both verbally and in writing, able to explain technical concepts clearly to clients.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong sense of urgency to exceed client expectations while maintain quality standards.
