What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Supervisor position at Watts Water Technologies?

Direct daily activities associated with a high volume manufacturing facility. Provide leadership to hourly and salaried employees and foster an atmosphere of safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
You Will:Confer with management to establish production and quality control standards. Plan and direct production activities and establish production priorities for product, keeping in mind efficiency and costs. Coordinate production activities with maintenance and quality control to obtain optimum production standards while maintaining efficient use of labor, machines, and equipment.
Provide leadership required to develop a culture focused on safety, quality, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.
Work with engineering to develop and implement methods and procedures designed to eliminate waste and improve product quality.
Manage labor requirements by increasing or decreasing staff and overtime to meet changing conditions. Maintain appropriate time and production records.
Resolve work problems, and assist workers in solving issues. Develop and initiate plans to motivate workers to achieve required goals.
Manage associate responsibilities following our policies and applicable laws. Responsible for: interviewing, training and assimilating new associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraise performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; address associate complaints and resolve issues.
Maintain a safe work environment for all associates, enforcing all safety regulations.
Uphold all company procedures. Respond to associate concerns and work with team members and human resources to discuss and eliminate potential problems.
Develop and implement Lean operating system with production associates to facilitate flow, productivity and efficiencies. Example include but not limited too; Visual management, 5s, tiered accountability, standard work, Kanban, pull systems...
Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years related experience or equivalent education and experience.
Supervise 10 direct labor employees
Demonstrated experience using Lean Manufacturing. Six Sigma or Green Belt.
Working knowledge of manufacturing operating system and experience using Microsoft Office.
Strong supervisory, leadership and communication skills.
