POSITION SUMMARY

The Loan Processor plays a crucial role in the bank by ensuring the efficient processing of commercial and consumer loan applications. Responsible for timely and accurate loan documentation creation, funding, booking, and servicing of consumer and commercial loans.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Receive loan processing requests and prepare loan document packages.
  2. Facilitate funding of consumer and commercial loans. 
  3. Use bank’s software system to book loans with appropriate codes and general ledger account detail.
  4. Answer telephone and written requests concerning loan processing and servicing inquiries.
  5. Prepare and distribute appropriate disclosures in compliance with regulations.  
  6. Track and file documents to completion of the loan file.
  7. Manage time sensitive material and meet deadlines.
  8. Establish a working knowledge of current banking and lending regulations and bank loan products and services.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned that uphold the mission and core values of Wayne Bank.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.  Some postsecondary coursework in business or finance preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of, and proficiency in, Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet navigation. Comfort with evolving technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in consumer/commercial loan processing.
  • Understanding of banking regulations and compliance.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS                                                                                                              

The physical demands and work environment of this position are typical of an interior/office work   

environment with limited physical effort required and no or very limited exposure to physical risk.

  • Environmental conditions include those risks normally associated with the context of an office environment and exposure to weather conditions when/if traveling on business and/or attending outdoor community events. The office noise level is usually minimal.
