Position: Teacher
General Responsibilities: The Teacher at Wayne Halfway House, Inc is responsible for the education of the students in his/her classroom. It is his/her responsibility to maintain standards that are set by the Department of Education. The criteria for Wayne Halfway House, Inc will meet al State and Federal requirements.
Duties:
1. Teach all classes as directed by the principal.
2. Prepare and plan for all classes.
3. Maintain grade records and grade book.
4. Maintain classroom discipline.
5. Demonstrate competence in cultural knowledge, awareness, and sensitivity.
6. Participate in the PQI Program as requested.
7. Serve as a Staff Development Supervisor if assigned.
8. Follow all applicable Policies and Procedures of Wayne Halfway House, Inc.
9. Report grades to Principal and post on the network at the end of the 6 weeks.
10. Participate in 'in-service' training.
11. Participate in material purchases and library purchases on request.
12. Participate in the Library Program and be in charge of 'sign out' sheets.
13. Provide information and/or records for prior students and public schools as requested.
14. Any other job-related duties assigned by Wayne Halfway House, Inc.
Qualifications and Experience: The Teacher must have a bachelor's degree was a Tennessee Teacher's License

Pay: $48,000.00 per year
