Job Title: Multi-Classroom Teacher Leader

Reports to: Campus Administrator
Job Goal:
The Multi-Classroom Teacher Leader (MCL) extends instructional planning and delivery expertise across multiple classrooms allowing more scholars to receive the benefits of a high-quality teacher. This position is an entry-level leadership position. The MCL is able to develop into a campus leader or remain an expert teacher leader.
The MCL also leads the weekly activities of a Teacher Fellow who assists in the planning and delivery of instruction across the same multiple classrooms led by the MCL. TF are aspiring teachers under the development and leadership of the Multi-Classroom Teacher Leader.
Qualifications/Education/Certification:
Education: Bachelor's Degree (required)
Certification: Valid Texas Teaching Certificate (required)
ESL or Bilingual Certification (required within 1 year of hire)
3 years of Teaching Experience

Performance Responsibilities:
- Delivers Tier 1 instruction to multiple classrooms
- Leads the instructional materials preparation and instructional work of the Teacher Fellow
- Tracks and responds to data for scholars in multiple classrooms
- Delivers Tier II instruction as needed
- Prepares and delivers communication and reports for all stakeholders
- Ensures strong academic growth of scholars across multiple classrooms
- Provide instruction to multiple classrooms, individual students, or groups of students using such methods as oral presentation, demonstration, discussions, answering questions, offering laboratory directions, project- and problem-based learning, and research.
- Plan lessons, including activities such as preparing learning objectives and goals, designing formative assessments, studying material, setting up labs, and preparing summative assessments.
- Facilitate learning in the classroom (e.g., maintain discipline; encourage participation; consult with parents, school staff, and other care providers to identify and address social or developmental needs.)
- Evaluate student performance.
- Maintain records and document student progress (e.g., record grades and absences, provide progress reports.) Also leads the Teacher Fellow in the maintenance of records and documentation.
- Perform all duties pertaining to area of expertise as required (e.g., early childhood, language, music, physical education, vocational training, safety, and career education.)
- Maintain contact with parents in regard to student performance through activities such as parent-teacher conferences, progress reports, letters, and special meetings.
- Maintain professional development through such activities as classes, conferences, seminars, workshops, and professional journals; provide technical guidance to less experienced teachers.
- Perform various administrative activities (e.g., attend faculty and staff meetings, order equipment and supplies, copy materials, create bulletin boards, take attendance, obtain permission slips, and coordinate department activities.) Also directs the Teacher Fellow in the performance of various administrative duties.
- Prepare lesson materials, supplies, and equipment (e.g., copy materials, set up audio visual equipment, arrange lab materials.) Also directs the Teacher Fellow in the preparation of materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Monitor student behavior both inside and outside the classroom (e.g., during class, in hallways between classes, and during assemblies, extracurricular activity meetings or events, fire drills, or other group activities.)
- Maintain confidentiality
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
- Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical and responsible.
- Articulate the district’s mission and goals to the community and solicit its’ support in realizing the school’s mission.
