- WC Health is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant who has knowledge and experience in family practice and women's health to treat and work with employees and families in Las Vegas.
Essential Functions:
- Assist patients to exam rooms
- Take patient histories, measure vital signs, including weight, height, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in the patient's chart.
- Perform MA procedures under the supervision of a Nurse Practitioner
- Assist Nurse Practitioner in exam room with Pap Smears
- Give instructions to patients as instructed by Nurse Practitioner
- Ensure all related reports, labs and information are filed and available in patients' medical records prior to their appointment
- Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required
- Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls
- Managing a high volume of patient visits
- Patient Education
- Assist in in office procedures
- All other duties as assigned by the Clinical Manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Skilled in venipuncture and fingersticks
- Ability to work independently
- Strong Organizational skills
- Excellent Time management skills
Position Type: Full- Time
Education and Experience:
- Experienced Medical Assistant with a minimum of 2 years experience
- Experience in Family Practice or Women's Health
- EMR (electronic medical record) experience required
Must be able to pass a drug and background check.
