POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Accountant plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records and reports. This role is responsible for overseeing complex accounting tasks, supporting the month-end close process, preparing financial statements, and mentoring junior accounting staff. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting knowledge, thrives in a fast-paced and growing environment, and demonstrates both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries and general ledger reconciliations across multiple entities
- Analyze financial data and generate internal reports to support business decision-making
- Maintain and manage the fixed asset ledger, including capital project tracking, depreciation, and disposals
- Support preparation of consolidated financial statements and related financial disclosures
- Coordinate and support external audit requests and other financial reviews
- Partner with operational teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and intercompany accounting
- Identify areas for process improvement and assist in developing enhanced financial workflows and controls
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Train and support Staff Accountants and other team members as needed
- Participate in ad hoc financial analysis and strategic projects
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA-track preferred)
- Experience in public accounting or working for a public company preferred
- 4 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a multi-entity or healthcare-related organization
- Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP and strong understanding of full-cycle accounting
- Experience with lease accounting, fixed asset accounting, intercompany transactions, and financial statement preparation
- Experience with conducting internal control assessments and driving process improvements/streamlining
- Strong proficiency in NetSuite or similar ERP systems
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and present insights effectively
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- An understanding of KPIs, the ability to analyze data and identify/present trends
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, all while supporting junior staff to ensure deadlines are met
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills
- Prior experience mentoring or supporting junior staff is required

Salary : $100,000 - $110,000
