This position is responsible for the overall operation of the Quality Assurance Department and will have the final authority in the release to service of airframes, engines, propellers, appliances, and their component parts. In addition, the QA Manager is responsible for directing, planning, and laying out the details of inspection standards, methods, and procedures used by the repair station in complying with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, manufacturer specifications, and recommendations.

This position is responsible for the overall operation of the Quality Assurance Department and will have the final authority in the release to service of airframes, engines, propellers, appliances, and their component parts. In addition, the QA Manager is responsible for directing, planning, and laying out the details of inspection standards, methods, and procedures used by the repair station in complying with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, manufacturer specifications, and recommendations.
You Will Be Essential To Many Functions, Including
- Conduct work order audits by RSQCM/GMM and perform internal audits as required. Collaborate with the aircraft maintenance department to document and review.
- Ensure that aircraft maintenance logs, records, reports, forms, and parts are properly documented.
- Perform logbook research, including the completion of logbook entries, FAA Form 337s, and FAA Form 8130-3 as required per the RSQCM/GMM.
- Revise aircraft and engine logbooks as required.
- Perform incoming inspections and determine airworthiness. Conduct preliminary, hidden damage, in-progress, and final inspections.
- Review and maintain aircraft publications, ADs, and service information bulletins.
- Ensure the proper use of technical data and manuals.
- Maintain subscriptions and revisions for maintenance manuals.
- Interface with the FAA, vendors, and repair station customers.
- Ensure that all contract maintenance vendors and/or personnel are qualified to perform maintenance on company aircraft in accordance with the RSQCM/GMM.
- Conduct contract maintenance audits.
- Provide technical and compliance/regulatory assistance to the Maintenance Department in support of day-to-day operations.
- Ensure company standard practices and procedures are compliant.
- Train maintenance staff, including performing indoctrination training, annual recurrent training, and maintenance retraining per the RSQCM/GMM.
- Set up and maintain a tracking matrix for all required data.
- Provide as-needed assistance for required projects and follow up.
- Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by a supervisor or management.
