What is the position? As a Behavioral Health Technician you will provide direct, basic and supportive care to Clients within a substance use disorder program.

Westbrook Health Services recognizes and rewards our Behavioral Health Technicians who set and maintain the highest standards of excellence with MONTHLY ATTENDANCE BONUSES and a HIRING BONUS. After completing 90 days of service, employees are eligible for a $300 bonus. After completing 180 days of service, employees are eligible for an additional $300 bonus.
- SIGN ON BONUS-$600, $300 at 90 days and $300 at 180 days
- MONTHLY RETENTION BONUS-$300-$500
- MONTHLY ATTENDANCE BONUS-$25-$50
- REFERRAL BONUS-$600

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet Client and agency needs.
- Provides orientation to program, ie: rules and regulations, expectations
- Provides an outlined daily schedule of activities
- Provides transportation to and from appointments outside the residence.
- Provides oversight and intervention to consumers to ensure a safe and cooperative recovery environment.
- Attends and supervises all outside meetings and approved extracurricular outings, enforcing program rules
- Records a detailed account of the consumers behavioral, medical and staff interactions in the daily shift notes.
- Logs and uploads any necessary informationals or behavior contracts
- Maintains cleanliness of work area to ensure sanitary conditions for oncoming shifts
- Offers a general account of the ending shift to the employee coming onto shift to ensure a smooth transition of care
- Complies with federal, state and company policies, procedures and regulations
- Maintains confidentiality of all information and complies with HIPAA regulations
- Demonstrates knowledge of and supports Westbrook Health Services mission, vision, values, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards and code of ethical behavior.
Qualification Requirements:
- Must work well in a team environment
- Work with staff, Clients and others in a professional, cooperative, ethical, respectful and effective manner.
Education and/or Experience: High school education or equivalency. Must pass Criminal Investigation Background and DHHR background checks as well as post offer observed drug screen. Must have valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Mobility and ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, reach and lift up to 50 pounds are required in this position. Ability to be awake and alert for shift.
