About the Role
The Western States Regional Council of Carpenters is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Project Manager to provide cross-functional support to the departments under the Director of Special Projects, with a primary focus on strategic project execution and organizational event coordination. While this position will interface closely with the Director of Special Projects, the Project Manager will report directly to the Senior Operations Manager, ensuring alignment with organizational performance goals and operational consistency.
This role requires exceptional organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a track record of supporting multi-stakeholder initiatives, consultant coordination, staff training programs, and internal communication projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Event Planning & Execution: Coordinate logistics and manage planning for program-related events, including quarterly Delegate Meetings and strategic organizational events.
- Market Recovery Monitoring: Support the tracking and documentation of market recovery outcomes, including wins vs. losses, habitual applicant analysis, and success metrics reporting.
- Program & Communication Oversight: Track updates on program events, internal programmatic changes, and critical communication initiatives such as messaging and agenda delivery.
- Unforeseen Issue Management: Support reporting and mitigation of unexpected challenges and curveballs impacting projects or programs.
- Market Analysis Reporting: Assist in compiling market analysis updates in coordination with relevant teams and consultants.
- Staffing Coordination: Monitor and support the reporting of critical staffing issues tied to Special Projects initiatives.
- Tool & System Utilization: Manage workflows and reporting through organizational project management tools to provide real-time status updates.
- Other Departments & Projects: This role will be expected to assist and/or be assigned to other projects outside the general scope of Special Projects and Events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Organizational Leadership, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in project management, event coordination, or program operations.
- Experience tracking and reporting on organizational KPIs, preferably in dynamic or nonprofit environments.
- Strong familiarity with market analysis, internal program communication, and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in project management systems such as Smartsheet or Monday.com.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
- PMP or CAPM certification preferred but not required.
