What are the responsibilities and job description for the ECommerce Sales Manager position at Wholesome Sweeteners Inc?
eCommerce Sales Manager is responsible for advancing the customer experience, distribution, business planning and P&L for Pure Play retailers, including Amazon. The individual will drive Whole Earth brands revenue and share growth. The Manager will own advancing the customer experience through strategic business planning, marketplace execution, digital marketing, merchandising, assortment management, and promotions while managing a budget, maintaining profitability and interfacing with both internal and external customer stakeholders.
Business Management
- Develop strong customer relationships driving engagement through joint business plans
- Sell, negotiate and execute customer plans to achieve objectives for Whole Earth Brands and deliver annual gross/net sales and market share targets.
- Execute hybrid 1P/3P business selling model that deliveries topline growth targets and is the most advantageous for the business P&L
Planning
- Responsible for ongoing financial forecasting, demand planning and trade management.
- Accurately plan and track digital marketing trade spend and promotional activity in revenue management system and support in post promotion analysis and close out
- Support in management of order to cash process (orders, stock management and revenue recognition in collaboration with the customer service team)
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (demand planning, trade, and customer service) to provide continued business solutions for customer needs
Promotion / Digital Shelf Excellence
- Design, deploy and measure yearly trade and eMerchendising promotional plan together with marketing and execute customer specific promotional plans
- Work cross-functionally with marketing to develop and maintain a winning eCommerce digital shelf (Basic Content, Enhanced Content, Brand Store, Hero Imagery, Portfolio optimization etc)
- Manage strategy and execute new product launches including digital shelf, promotions, VINE inclusions, merchandising, etc.
- Maintain an active awareness on industry trends, beta tests as well as search best practices and ensure ongoing keyword strategy development and optimization.
- Build eCommerce competencies and capabilities internally
Qualifications
- 5 years of e-commerce sales or marketing experience. CPG Amazon account management experience strongly preferred
- Significant knowledge of digital/online space - Experience in an eCommerce environment and familiarity with platforms/technology strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree; advanced degree in business or marketing is highly preferred
- Proven track record of developing digital marketing/merchandising recommendations to solve strategic business challenges
- Experience with the development of strategic business plan, annual operating plan tools and execution tactics
