Tire Sales Associate
Department: Tire & Wheels
Reports To: Tire & Wheel Manager
Status: Non-Exempt
Description: Provides exceptional customer service in person and over the phone. Uses excellent communication skills to sell tires and answer any questions. Establishes time commitments between technicians and customers and checkout procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Accurately and efficiently ascertains the tires the customer needs.
Effectively gathers pertinent information from customers to provide exceptional customer service.
Invoices tire purchase and install/repair services. Loads appointment tires and transfers to preset staging areas in sales.
Rings up orders. Receives accurate payment, makes change, processes checks, credit and debit charges, gives out receipt and submits order according to proper procedures for paperwork and performance of duties.
Builds professional relationships with customers to sustain and increase sales.
Responsible for meeting sales goals, self evaluating and scheduling training or education to improve.
Communicates with managers regarding special orders, quantity, status, price, delivery and promotion of merchandise.
Stocks tires in the sales area in accordance with the Manager’s merchandising plan.
Assists in day to day operations of the shop as required.
Prepares, Organizes maintains and inventories tires and wheels accurately and efficiently in accordance with company procedures.*
Follows all safety policies and procedures.*

Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience or knowledge in the automotive industry.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid driver’s license
