What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Receiving Clerk position at Willis Automotive?
Under the direct supervision of the Parts Manager, the Shipping and Receiving Clerk verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment while performing all duties to quality and productivity standards of Willis Automotive.

Ability to have a driving position with a work life balance where you are home nights and weekends and work a 40 hour week.
What we need from you:
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- Previous experience in dealership parts department preferred
- Hazardous material training & certification preferred
- Working knowledge of mathematical concepts
- Valid driver’s license and insurability required and ability to drive a Delivery Van
Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills required
Responsibilities:
- Operates lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
- Unpacks, examines and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shippers to rectify damages and shortages.
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
- Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Assists co-workers as needed
- Empties trash on a daily basis
- Answers telephones as needed
General inventory control functions such as inventory bin checks, cycle V counts, & general bin cleaning
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing all day. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
