What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Willis - Knighton Health System?
Ark-La-Tex Dermatology is seeking a Medical Assistant. The MA will provide nursing care to patients in the physician offices under the supervision of the Clinic Physician. The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: assessing the health status of patients and collaborating with the nursing staff and physician to establish care procedures; contributing to the planning of appropriate nursing interventions; medication administration for oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intradermal; assist patients with activities of daily living; document patient assessment; communicate pertinent information regarding patient condition to other members of the health care team; and provides information to patient/family regarding disease process or diagnostic procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Louisiana license is a requirement for this position and previous dermatology experience is preferred. The applicant selected for this position will be required to attend a hospital-wide orientation as well as a department orientation upon hire.
