What are the responsibilities and job description for the RP PC: Clinic Pre-cert Representative position at Willis Knighton Health?
Our clinic is searching for a qualified candidate to be a Pre-Certification Representative. Prior experience is preferred as they will be responsible for completing prior authorizations for hospital and outpatient procedures as well as office procedures in a busy ob/gyn office. This will include follow-up with insurance companies in the event denials or refund requests are sent. This person will also assist with the end-of-day closing procedures for the clinic and assist with backing up the front desk. Excellent communication skills are imperative as they will be speaking with insurance companies and patients to ensure we have all necessary information prior to procedures. They will be responsible for communicating with the doctors and nurses throughout the process as well as coordinating with the hospital's pre-certification department. Computer skills are necessary for this job as it is required for information to be scanned and submitted in a timely manner. Medical terminology and/or prior experience in prior authorizations is preferred.
