What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Assistant Teacher for Family Child Care Business position at Willows and Dunes Childcare?
The hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 8:00 - 5:30 with opportunities for subbing as needed. We are looking to fill this position by February 1, 2023.
Willows and Dunes Childcare is a large family daycare that has been open for 27 years. Located in Manila CA, we care for children 1-5 years old. We are committed to providing top quality care and education for the students who are enrolled in our program. Our goal is to meet each child at their own unique place in their development to support and guide their emotional, intellectual, physical growth and expansion in an individualized, loving way. If you are passionate and eager to work with young children and have a background in Early Childhood Education or Childcare, we might be a good match.
Our classroom is primarily outdoors, promoting learning with Nature through a play-based curriculum with an emphasis on learning social skills, outdoor play, art and music. Explore the Willows and Dunes Facebook page for pictures of our space and more information.
Your main responsibility is to interact with the children in ways that enhance their learning experience and support their emotional well-being. You will contribute to daily and weekly curriculum planning. There are also daily food preparation and cleaning responsibilities.
We are looking for an Assistant Teacher with the following qualifications:

- Early Childhood Education units and/or childcare or teaching experience
- Proof of immunization for COVID-19
- Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification
CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES REQUIREMENTS (POST HIRE):
- Live-Scan and FBI background check
-California Mandated Reporter Training
- TB test
- Proof of immunization for Pertussis and Measles is required.
- Influenza vaccines are recommended but optional
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Overtime
COVID-19 considerations:
We are following all the required county open business regulations. All staff and parents are required to be fully vaccinated. We have implimented enhanced daily cleaning and disinfecting protocols, and extra ventilation during the day and after hours.
