WinnMed is seeking to hire a Patient Access Coordinator to join the Access Management team!
This position is responsible for accurately scheduling and coordinating patient appointments for a 30 medical provider clinic including Family Practice and a variety of specialty practices. The Patient Access Coordinator is responsible for management of providers schedules, collaborating with medical staff, sending electronic communication between patient and provider, scheduling tasks through electronic work queue, and managing clinic reception desks and patient waiting areas including forms providing for patient appointments. This role also answers and directs a high volume of customer inquiries by phone, processes payments, along with cash drawer responsibilities. Trains and mentors new staff for a customer oriented, fast pace, detailed, welcoming, teamwork environment.
Schedule:
40 hours per week and is on a 2-week pay period.
Shift hours are Monday - Friday. Choice between:
- 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. or
- 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. or
- 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in working with computer systems, keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Strong Interpersonal and communication skills necessary
- Strong customer focus and service skills a must
Desired:
- medical terminology training or knowledge strongly preferred
- previous healthcare experience
