Location: Little Ruby's Café, Brooklyn, NYC (New Location)

Compensation: $16/hour tips (before tip credit)

Join our team at Little Ruby's Café as we open our new location in Brooklyn! We are seeking professional, courteous, and passionate bartenders to provide an exceptional experience for our guests.

Job Summary

The bartender is responsible for crafting high-quality alcoholic beverages, taking orders, delivering top-tier service, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area. This role requires interaction with guests, team members, and supervisors to ensure an atmosphere of gracious hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

Service Excellence

• Deliver professional and exceptional service with a warm, welcoming demeanor.
• Anticipate and accommodate guest needs, ensuring an outstanding dining and bar experience.
• Present menus, answer guest questions, and provide thoughtful recommendations.
• Inform guests of food and beverage specials, including prices.
• Identify and address dietary restrictions and allergies.
  
  

Bar Operations

• Prepare and serve all alcoholic beverages in accordance with state regulations and company standards.
• Enter orders accurately into the POS system and handle payments properly.
• Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests in the bar and lounge areas.
• Set up and maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar.
• Follow opening, closing, and side-work procedures, including cleaning and restocking.
• Monitor and maintain liquor inventory and par levels.
  
  

Teamwork and Compliance

• Collaborate with front-of-house and back-of-house teams to support operations.
• Attend daily pre-shift meetings and training sessions.
• Uphold company and Department of Health sanitation standards.
• Report any damages or issues to management promptly.
  
  

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of professional bartending experience, preferably in high-volume settings such as restaurants, lounges, or nightclubs.
• Completion of company-provided bartender training, Alcohol Awareness Certification, and Food Handling Certification.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage menus and service standards.
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
