What You’ll Do
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions across complex systems and equipment.
- Use a wide range of tools — from precision instruments and diagnostic equipment to standard hand and power tools — to troubleshoot, repair, and test machinery.
- Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, plumbing, pipe systems, and mechanical assemblies.
- Inspect, operate, and test machinery to identify performance issues or potential breakdowns before they occur.
- Replace defective components and reassemble equipment with attention to precision and safety standards.
- Document all repairs, parts used, and time spent to maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Ensure smooth operation of production and building systems by conducting inspections, lubrications, and necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve system reliability and maintenance procedures.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: 5–7 years of experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of complex equipment and systems in a production or technical environment.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, including tool usage, repair techniques, and testing methods.
- Analytical Mindset: Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying and addressing the root cause of issues rather than applying temporary fixes.
- Independence: Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment in fast-paced environments.
- Attention to Detail: Precision, accuracy, and care in every aspect of your work.
- Team Collaboration: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to contribute positively to a collaborative maintenance team.
- Experience in advanced troubleshooting and system analysis rather than routine or preventative maintenance.
- Hands-on experience in a high-performance manufacturing or production setting.
