Community-Based & Residential Services Intern (Two-Semester Placement)
Wolverine Human Services is seeking motivated, compassionate students for a two-semester internship supporting children and families across community-based, behavioral health, and residential service settings. Interns gain hands-on experience through structured rotations, professional supervision, and mentorship while exploring careers in child welfare, foster care, behavioral health, and residential services.
Interns will:

Rotate through foster care case management, clinical/therapy services, and residential programming

Shadow professionals and observe case planning, therapy sessions, and interdisciplinary collaboration

Learn trauma-informed care, child welfare policies, documentation practices, and ethical standards

Participate in training, supervision, and professional development activities
Qualifications include:

Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program in a human services–related field

Strong interest in child welfare or behavioral health

Professional communication skills, cultural humility, and ability to maintain confidentiality

Reliable transportation and successful completion of required screenings
