Wood Rodgers, a leading engineering consulting firm based in California, is hiring an engineer to join our Transportation Division located in Orange, CA or San Diego, CA. What you will be doing:
- Design roadway systems and other transportation related structures, including calculations and cost estimating under the supervision of a Senior Transportation Engineer
- Coordinate layout and drawings with other disciplines
- Develop appropriate preliminary concepts and layouts
- Prepare technical specifications
- Participate in proposal and report writing
- Reviews and evaluates shop drawings and product submittals
- And of course, “other duties as assigned”
The Ante
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 3-7 years of experience performing the essential duties listed above.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and other software
- Able to interpret geotechnical and hydraulic support data, as related to roadway design
- Ability to communicate clearly both in verbal and written form with clients and agency staff
- E.I.T.
Things we’d like to see
- PE license preferred
- Construction and field experience, specification writing, and highway design concepts is preferred
