Primary duties include:
- Providing Tender Loving Care to pets in boarding
- Clean and sanitize all cages, wards and related areas
- Admitting and discharging boarders while ensuring pets and clients feel welcome and safe
- Feed and water boarders, provide special diets as needed
- Recognize and alert the medical team of any unusual condition or behavior of a pet
It isn’t all work and no play, though! Cuddling puppies, doggy play groups and kitty tower play time are the best parts of the day.
Candidates must be friendly and detail oriented. Prior animal care experience is preferred.
Previous experience with Avimark veterinary software is a plus. The kennel technician position is a physically demanding job, often requiring standing for long periods of time and ability to lift at least 50 lbs. Full time position includes 5 shifts per week. Weekend and Holiday availability required.
