What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-Time Doggy Daycare Attendant position at Woof’s Play & Stay?
We are hiring energetic and fun-loving people who enjoy working with animals for 30-40 hours per week. This job comes with a pay rate of $10.00 - $13.00 per hour based on experience, and you can bring your pet to work! Doggy Daycare Attendants can bring up to 2 dogs for free DayPlay when they’re on duty. You’ll work with friendly teammates in a supportive, happy, work environment.
Qualifications:
- Dog or animal experience preferred, but not required
- Customer service experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and bend repetitively
- Ability to lift and carry dogs and equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Availability to work some weekends and holidays
- Must have reliable transportation
Duties & Responsibilities:
- This position is responsible for the safety, supervision and management of daycare and boarding dogs. This will include observing, interacting, and utilizing proper dog handling techniques. Responsible for facility maintenance, including cleaning play areas/accessories and other areas of the facility. This position may assist with customer relations in the lobby as needed. Clear communication skills and an ability to work with all levels of personnel and management are essential.
- Ability to work while continuously on your feet showing the dogs attention and care
- Proactively address behavior in a timely manner with approved methods. We have zero-tolerance for mishandling of animals or using non-approved animal management methods
- Continually monitor dogs in both indoor and outdoor play yards
- Keep the play areas free of messes and clean up after dogs' bodily functions
- Follow standard cleaning procedures including proper use of chemicals to ensure a safe environment for animals and people
- Understand and follow the feeding, medication, and allergy lists to ensure that all health standards are met consistently
- Work cohesively and respectfully with your teammates
- Maintain a positive attitude and demeanor in all aspects of your position including room management and customer service
