JOB SCOPE/SUMMARY
The purpose of the Sales Associate role is to establish a partnership with assigned member(s) of the Sales Team to maximize selling time, ensure accurate orders, and achieve high levels of customer satisfaction. The Sales Associate will service existing customer accounts and respond to day-to-day requests for products and/or services as well as assist walk-in clients by guiding them through the sales process and completion of their order.
Through the application of extensive and excellent attention to detail and organization, expertise in sales relations, and anticipation of internal and external customer needs, the Sales Associate will help maximize selling time, ensure accurate orders, and deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing sales and support for account maintenance activity; engaging with Encore Sales in support of our customers, offering a seamless transition through the sales process resulting in a better customer experience.
- Providing product expertise for account maintenance activity; engaging with Workplace Resource Sales Executives in support of our customers, offering a seamless transition through the sales process resulting in a better customer experience.
- Responding to corporate account bid solicitations, pricing proposals and customer requests accurately and in a timely manner.
- Providing order support by verifying customer information is current or setting up a new customer, securing credit application for new customer, generating a quote number, processing the order, and submitting to accounting for invoicing of Encore Services and Workplace Resource completed projects.
- Handling all small orders where design is not involved, deciphering a solution for the client.
- Creating job order packets or other related sales order information and delivering to Project Management (including purchase order, status reports, project checklist, labor quote, and drawings if applicable) in a timely manner
- Creating simple quotes and determining scope of work
- Developing an understanding of the processes in place for Encore Services and Workplace Resources in terms of Sales
- Provides order status updates to both internal and external customers.
- Support site visits and/or walkthroughs as needed.
EXPERIENCE AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS
- The preferred candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree (B. A. or B. S.) from an accredited college or university in business, marketing or related field; or a minimum of 2 years in a sales support or administrative role.

- Works effectively and proficiently with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Office within a Windows environment.
- Communicating effectively by interacting in a clear and compelling way that builds understanding and commitment with a wide range of people, both within and outside the company.
- Proven leadership skills, assertive, self-confident, self-starter, as well as work independently with little to no supervision.
- Ability to exercise discretion and judgment in administering policies and procedures.
- Demonstrating integrity and trust by acting ethically and gaining the trust and respect of others
- Ability to coordinate, plan, organize or manage multiple responsibilities and high-volume workload effectively with speed and accuracy. Achieving results by driving issues to closure and getting the job done on time.
- Demonstrating teamwork and collaboration by building and sustaining productive working relationships across a diverse spectrum of people.
- Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability by being able to change course swiftly and purposefully when the needs of the business change.
- Must possess a valid driver license and a good driving record.

WORK CONTEXT
The position requires working typically in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as office phone/smartphone, computer/laptop/computer keyboard/mouse, photocopiers, filing cabinets and printers. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to visit and move around at construction and other customer/work sites, wearing appropriate safety protective gear. Ability to lift, carry, and otherwise transport work-related materials that frequently weigh up to 10 lbs. and that may occasionally weigh in excess of 25 lbs. Ability to work with numbers, research complex issues and resolve problems. Requires more advanced mathematical skills in order to understand spatial requirements and in doing bids. Must be able to read and comprehend complex written material, as well as ability to analyze, compare, evaluate, reconcile, and order data.
