We are currently looking for a qualified Service Technician for our Midland facility. Candidates will provide assembly, installation and support of Worldwide Oilfield Machine, Inc.’s equipment at field locations.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Installation and operation of equipment at field locations
- Perform duties in the field and shop with little supervision which consist of repair and inspection of customer well control equipment
- Required to make sales calls to promote the company
- Maintain company issued assets keeping clean and in working order
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment
- Monitor equipment and provide start-up assistance
- Ensures all customer requirements for equipment are met
- Possess ability to complete detailed service reports
- Know and understand Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the QMS
- Comply with all health and safety rules
- Ensures compliance and maintaining the processes/procedures of the WOM management systems, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
- Comply with all environmental, health and safety rules
Requirements:
- High School graduate or hold GED Certificate
- Must be on 24 hour call and ready for callouts with little notice
- 2 years’ experience in Field Service Operations required
- Experience working on drilling rigs land or offshore
- Must have knowledge of BOP’s, Hydraulic closing units, gate valves & chokes
- Mechanical, computer skills and some electrical preferred but not required
- Self-motivated; able to handle customer issues through proper channels; willing to mentor new employees
- Must have strong communication skills, problems solving skills and dependable
- Ability to read blueprints/drawings preferred but not required
