About the Role:

As a Messenger Courier, you will play a critical role in the efficient operation of our organization by ensuring the timely and secure delivery of documents, packages, and other materials to designated recipients. You will serve as the face of our company, delivering exceptional customer service while adhering to all safety and security protocols. This position requires a reliable and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a commitment to upholding our organization's reputation for professionalism and reliability.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Pickup and deliver documents, packages, and other items to and from designated locations in a timely and efficient manner.
• Safely operate a motor vehicle, following all traffic laws and regulations, to ensure the timely delivery of items while maintaining a clean driving record.
• Verify the accuracy of delivery addresses and ensure that all items are delivered to the correct recipient.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while interacting with customers and representing the company.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to inquiries, resolving issues, and addressing any concerns or special requests from clients.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including obtaining signatures or proof of delivery as required.
• Follow established delivery routes and schedules, adjusting as needed to accommodate changes or special requests.
• Adhere to all safety and security procedures, including proper handling of sensitive or confidential materials and compliance with company policies.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance and inspections to ensure safe and reliable operation of the delivery vehicle.
• Assist with other duties as assigned, including office errands, mail sorting, or general clerical tasks during periods of low delivery volume.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience as a courier, delivery driver, or similar role.
• Familiarity with local roads, neighborhoods, and traffic patterns.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to [insert weight] pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Experience using GPS navigation systems or route optimization software.
• Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with courier or delivery service software for tracking and managing deliveries.
• Additional certifications or training in defensive driving, customer service, or related areas.

"The pay range for this position starts at $17.95/hr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonus opportunities may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered."
