What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counselor - School Age Child Care position at YMCA of Greater Richmond?

The YMCA of Greater Richmond is currently seeking enthusiastic part tine counselors for our Before and/or After School Child Care programs in the Swift Creek area. Located at Swift Creek YMCA, Winterpock Elementary, Spring Run Elementary, and Clover Hill Elementary. The rate of pay for this position starts at $15.00 per hour.

Duties

Responsibilities include supervising and engaging with a group of school age children and participating in group programs. Available hours weekdays from 7-9:30am and/or 3-6pm.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a minimum of six months of child care experience, preferably in a licensed facility.
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum age is 18.

The Following Certifications Are Highly Desirable

CPR/AED Certification appropriate to age group
First Aid Certification
