General Function:
A Child Care Teacher Aide assists the Center Director or a Teacher in implementing activities for a group of children. A Teacher Aide must meet California licensing requirements. A Teacher may also be responsible for the supervision of a Teacher Aide. The Teacher Aide must meet the all the Title 22 licensing requirements for an aide in school age center.

Salary Range: $22.00 - $23/Hour
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work with Teachers to develop age appropriate activities for children.
- Work with Teachers to supervise children while maintaining ratios that meet requirements for Title 22.
- Live a culture of passion for risk management and safety
- Meet and greet all children and parents daily.
- Help maintain a clean and well organized facility.
- Assist in creating a warm, nurturing, and inviting program atmosphere.
- Attend all staff meetings and all training events.
- Participate in family events.
- Build confidence and self-esteem of the children in the program.
- Model appropriate and constructive discipline.
- Work as a team member of the child care center and the YMCA.
Additional Information:
- It may be necessary to perform other duties as assigned.
- This position is considered to have a supervisory or disciplinary relationship over minors.
- Employees working in the Youth Development Department in the fall, have the opportunity to work year round in different programs. Contact your immediate supervisor to discuss summer placements. All vacation requests shall take into consideration based on the organizational needs, and must have the approval of your immediate supervisor.
