The YMCA of the North Shore is looking for you to join our dedicated and talented staff. Our dynamic team supports multiple functions for our association including supporting of our local Y's. This position will evaluate and analyze potential suppliers and negotiate pricing.
Purchasing Manager Position Tasks:

Establish relationships with new vendors by evaluating quality, service, and pricing.

Maintain current vendor relationships while assessing our supplies and cost savings to make sure we have the best pricing and supplies.

Collaborates with other departments and leadership to identity, develop needs and requirements for equipment, materials, and supplies.

Resolves grievances with vendors, contractor, and supplies.

Contract management, oversight of company travel, credit card reconciliation and PO accrual.

Custodial supply management and approving orders from various vendors.

Work closely with the finance team on projects as needed.
To thrive in this position, you are a self-starter who works well independently or within a team. You are efficient in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail. You are accustomed to working within deadlines, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and are comfortable both on the phone and working with multiple software platforms. You have problem-solving skills and a proven ability to maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications
- 1-2 years related administrative experience
- Strong computer systems skills (including Excel) and ability to adapt to varying systems
- One year of purchasing experience
- This is an in person position with some travel to our local Y's.
