Role and Responsibilities

The Parts Puller/Expeditor plays a critical role on the Yoder Smokers team by ensuring that the correct parts are pulled from inventory to meet the needs of our internal departments. This position is responsible for safely and quickly extracting parts and ensuring the part description and number match manufacturing order description and quantity daily along with fulfilling other warehouse/logistic responsibilities

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED is the only educational prerequisite
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in related field
• Pick or pull the correct outgoing parts for assembly on daily basis
• Verify part number to the assigned paperwork/order
• Operate forklifts or pallet jacks as required, after proper training and certification
• Maintain housekeeping in designated sections of warehouse
• Relocate parts in warehouse as needed
• Ensure a safe working environment by conforming to all safety guidelines including, but not limited to, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Demonstrate willingness to work with others in a team environment
• Ability to read basic blueprints and to identify components per a manufacturing bill of materials
• Effectively work within established time guidelines
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and participate in a changing environment to reach a common goal
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed or instructed

Preferred Skills

• Basic computer and math skills are essential
• Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment, stockroom, production control, and production floor.
• Good communication skills and ability to multi-task
• Ability work well under pressure. Must be able to understand and adhere to oral and written instructions.
• Safety and attendance are top priorities
• Highly organized with the desire to continually improve
• Strong attention to detail
