What You'll Do

Maintain awareness of emerging technologies to improve efficiencies and reduce costs.
- Oversee the people, processes, and technologies within York General's IS department to ensure they deliver outcomes that support the goals of the organization.
- Monitor and manage the cost of new and existing systems. Negotiates the costs and terms of information system service contracts including Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and technology related systems.
- Coordinate all tasks required for annual Information Systems budget, ensuring both the IS department and organization needs are met while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
- Lead the Clinical Analysts through collaboration with clinical departments regarding compliance and regulatory requirements dependent on the Electronic Medical Record and other technical systems.
- Evaluate risks and monitors Cyber Security posture of the organization, providing regular reports to Senior Leadership. Manages policies, procedures, use, and systems for organization information system management, to insure integrity, confidentiality, and appropriate use of information, assuring data accuracy and protection.
- Support the Medical Staff in its information management needs. Coordinate the sharing of information with other healthcare providers and organizations in accordance with York General policies.
What You Need
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field is required. Four years of IS Management experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Extensive knowledge of computer technology, including server technologies and information security is required.
- Five or more years of IS Management experience is preferred.
- Ability to turn abstract concepts into logical, orderly, and maintainable program steps.
- Extensive knowledge of enterprise and healthcare information technologies, including EMR software, security best practices, and network and storage infrastructures.
- Ability to develop and mentor others.
- Decision-making and leadership skills, as well as the ability to build collaborative relationships with an internal and external customer orientation.
- Strong project management skills.
