What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cost Accountant position at Youth Advocate Programs, Inc.?
Status: Full-Time Hourly FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Summary of Position: Cost Accountant applies the principles of cost accounting to provide detailed expense and revenue information beyond what is supplied by the general ledger. This application of accounting principles will at times require the preparation of detailed billing invoices for presentation to our customers. Cost Accounts reviews and audits payments on vendor accounts processed by the Accounts Payable Coordinator. Prepares detailed accounting records/invoices for customers requiring invoices for all costs with a fixed rate of profitability and reviews budget variances and effectively communicates to the department leaders.
Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related fields, and/or 4 or more years of private accounting experience.
