What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Aide position at Youth Advocate Programs, Inc.?
Status: Part Time Hourly FLSA classification: Non-Exempt
Summary of the Position: Hourly, Part Time Transportation Aide to aid with safe transportation for visitation to prisons and correctional facilities in New Jersey for Parent/Child Visitations. Transportation Aide will accompany the youth into the facilities and stay with them during the visit with the parent.
Qualifications/Requirements: Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid NJ commercial driver's license (CDL) and passenger endorsement for class and type of company vehicle to be operated with clean driving record.
- Experience in a caregiving and transport role is a plus.
- Ability to life and assist participants and family members as needed, following safety guidelines.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when dealing with participants and families of varying needs.
- Ability to work flexible hours, with possibility of some evenings and weekends.
