Seasonal Experience Technician
DESCRIPTION:
The Philadelphia Zoo is proud of its history as America’s First Zoo and its role as a leader in conservation, animal care, and guest experience. We are driven by that pride to deliver one-of-a-kind Seasonal Experiences that fill our guests with awe and delight. We are seeking a Technician to, under the supervision of the Manager of Seasonal Experiences, work on LumiNature installation and de-installation support at the Zoo’s Seasonal Experience warehouse and on-site.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Maintain and appropriately deploy and store LumiNature materials
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times
· Maintain LumiNature inventory levels of all consumable items
· Ensure LumiNature equipment is properly maintained
· Communicate and collaborate closely with team members
· May be asked to install/execute based on an artistic rendering
· Install lighting, audio effects, and scenic elements
· Will work in summer, fall, and winter conditions
· Constantly work to improve processes
KNOWLEDGE & ABILITY REQUIRED:
· Ability to work at heights up to 60’
· Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
· Basic knowledge of hand tools
· Comfortable working around animals
· Must be able to train on and safely use heavy equipment, previous forklift experience preferred
· Experience with lighting and sound equipment a plus
· Ability to execute from an artistic rendering a plus
· Ability to interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner
· Must possess a valid state driver’s license
PHYSICAL, MEDICAL & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
· Successful completion of a post-offer tuberculosis and drug screen before beginning work
· Successful completion of a post-offer criminal background check before starting work including, but not limited to FBI fingerprinting and Child Abuse History Clearance.
· All employees of the Philadelphia Zoo must be fully vaccinated, including a booster shot

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
