Location: Bridgewater, NJ (Hybrid: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Salary Range: $60,000–$70,000

Experience Required: 3–5 years

Account Volume: Managing approximately 1,000 accounts

A well-established organization in Bridgewater, NJ is seeking a Credit Specialist to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a large volume of accounts and a strong background in high-level collections. This role plays a key part in driving cash flow performance by identifying payment delays and resolving outstanding balances.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage credit and collections for a high-volume portfolio (~1,000 accounts)
• Review credit holds and release orders per company guidelines based on payment history and risk assessment
• Make outbound collection calls for past-due accounts and track resolution progress
• Partner closely with Sales, Sales Support, Customer Service, Distribution, and Finance teams to resolve billing/payment issues
• Proactively escalate payment risks to management
• Recommend delinquent accounts for third-party collections when appropriate
• Maintain accurate status updates in A/R system and CRM
• Provide documentation (invoices, proof of delivery, etc.) as needed
• Generate and send monthly customer statements
• Open and follow up on claims in CRM system

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in credit, collections, and cash application, preferably in a high-volume setting
• Proven ability to meet or exceed collection targets
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook required)
• SAP experience preferred
• Strong time management and ability to multitask across projects
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail, accountability, and reliability
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• High ethical standards and a positive, team-first attitude
