As a main point of contact for an essential part of the supply chain process, in charge of maintaining safety standards to ensure that products are dispatched, stored & delivered safely and efficiently. Responsible for the planning and purchasing of direct and/or indirect material to support customer needs/ production schedule. This position will manage select suppliers and development direct reports to ensure on time delivery at competitive pricing while managing inventory levels to prevent shortages and maximize turns.

Your responsibilities

  • Managing the warehouse in line with the company’s standards.
  • Develop and maintain metrics/KPIs, reports, process documentation, internal customer service logs and training and safety records.
  • Risk prevention plan in accordance with the tasks and the nature of the installation. In this inspection, in addition to the condition of the racks, the conditions of the pallets, the adequacy of the forklifts and load units to the racks, as well as the correctness of the maneuvers by part of the workers.
  • Supervise, guide and assign responsibilities to those responsible for the warehouse (storage tasks, preparation of orders).
  • Inventory control. Track the material. Update the LX02 daily report.
  • "Good and safety moment” talk.
  • 0 hazards or action plans expired.
  • Execute the 100% cycle stories according to the daily plan.
  • SAP transaction: LT22 Follow-up to the "TOs track" file, ensure the maintenance of the transactions made from STCK to FLOR at the end of each shift.
  • Make sure that new personnel entering the warehouse are trained.
  • Ensure the replenishment of bins for pick to light.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet warehouse demands as dictated by production schedules and workflow.
  • Optimizes warehouse capacity, inventory and floor utilization.

  • Ensure efficient and effective use of warehouse space to include layout and future capacity requirements.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy up to 98% in STCK and control inventory levels by ensuring physical counts are conducted and reconciled.
  • Establish, monitor, and maintain high standards of security in the warehouse by setting security procedures. - Ensure that vehicles, machinery, and equipment is well maintained and fit for purpose.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal and or company´s regulations.
  • Subject matter expert:
  • Establishes and shares best practices for warehouse management system & execution, inventory management and resource management
  • Reporting:
  • Compiles and sends weekly/monthly report out to management team on WHS & inventory performance.
  • Place purchase orders with suppliers for the procurement of production material as required by forecast and the production schedule.
  • Monitor status of open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of all materials, including timely resolution, communication, and mitigation of future potential supply issues.
  • Expedite or defer orders as required based on schedule/inventory discrepancies and/or adjustments.
  • Determine and establish optimal inventory levels based on forecast, demand variation and material lead times.
  • Coordinate material flows throughout product/BOM changes, obsolescence, and introduction of new suppliers and/or materials due to new product development or launches.
  • Provide help & support to internal materials areas such as Receiving, Warehouse & Inventory Management to ensure proper transactions are done in the system. (Receipts on time,
  • Manage and resolve issues regarding PO due to invoice discrepancies, returns and/or quality issues within the supplier data base.
  • Provide back-up support for supply chain functions including shipping, receiving, material handling and other duties as assigned.
  • Setup & maintain material master system planning parameters (MOQ, lead time, safety stocks etc.)
  • Collaborate with internal customers and provide a high level of customer service, including recommending solutions, resources, and alternative supply options.
  • Ensures compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years experience working on Materials, Warehouse management, Inventory management etc
  • Proven management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development
  • 5 plus years experience in Managing people
  • Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls.
  • Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • English fluency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel, Outlook) and purchasing software.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Sense of urgency.
  • Experience using MRP / ERP systems, especially Advance Purchasing Systems.
  • APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) preferred
  • SAP ERP
