WHAT YOU WILL DO
Provide technical accounting guidance to the finance team on complex accounting issues and transactions
Lead the company`s financial reporting process, including the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting areas including debt offerings, purchase price accounting, equity compensation, foreign currency, hedging and financial instruments
Successfully partner with business unit leadership and advise on all accounting related matters on business transactions
Interface with external auditors regarding the application of generally accepted accounting principles on various transactions and matters
Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc management reporting including variance analysis, technical position memos, executive presentations, etc., ensuring appropriate documentation of accounting positions is in place and advise senior management on complex transactions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and strategic decision-making
Stay current on emerging accounting standards and regulatory changes to ensure compliance
BACKGROUND THAT FITS
Bachelor`s degree in Accounting; CPA required
10 years of experience in technical accounting and financial reporting
Strong knowledge of US GAAP
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a focus on problem-solving
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and business
Experience working in both public accounting and private company environment preferred
Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
