Job Title: Compounder

Job Description

Operate and control a processing unit or a series of units to effect specific chemical changes in formulated products to desired results. Follow prescribed and standardized procedures with some degree of latitude due to the reactive nature of the substances processed. Measure and charge materials into processing equipment, and transfer the same in accordance with the processing sequence. Observe instruments and gauges, obtain samples for testing, and maintain process records as required. Regulate and adjust manual, automatic, or electronic control devices to bring about proper chemical reactions or results. Modify standard processes under the direction of the lab to correct batch irregularities.

Hard Skills

• 2 years of batch making experience (Chemicals, paints/coatings, food)
• 2 years of experience working off of a batch record/ticket

Work Environment

Chemical Manufacturing Facility with strong chemical smells. Sitting 10%, standing and walking 80%, and kneeling or twisting 10%. Lift requirements of 50lbs frequently. PPE will be provided. Night Shift - 6:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday (Four 10-hour days). Train on 1st shift and move to night shift once trained.
