What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drafter position at Actalent?
Description:
Drafter will be working on underground utilities projects for POWER Engineers. They will be performing modeling and analysis for those utilities, and problem solving. They will be in charge of selecting optimum route for utilities and have BOM input. Working all underground: conduit, cables, duct bank. Will be working in AutoCAD Civil 3D. This person will be handling the drafting and redlining efforts for electrical underground distribution lines
They will be working in the Engineering department working on utility scale projects designing and reviewing overhead and underground lines from 4kV to 69kV.
Project work will include the following:
-Preparing forestry trimming requests, facilitating permit and Right-of-Way acquisition, development of a BOM, estimating costs, etc.
-Reviewing completed designs and design packages to ensure compliance with client quality and consistency standards
-Support major distribution projects for the utility industry and will utilize drafting/design work.
