Lab Technician

Job Description

Perform laboratory and quality functions by testing, collecting data, and analyzing findings on raw materials. Comply with NY State Ag & Markets, FDA, USDA, and GMP policies. Follow all standard operating procedures and requirements as directed under standard methods for laboratory procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct milk testing
• Test product samples
• Perform powder testing
• Conduct full silo batch testing
• Carry out bacteria testing

Essential Skills

• BS Degree in Biology or Chemistry
• 1 year of lab experience
• Lab instrumentation experience
• Knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, Quality Assurance, GMP, Microbiology, Wet chemistry, QC, Data entry

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• BS Degree in Biology or Chemistry
• Lab instrumentation experience
• Open to candidates with educational knowledge but no professional experience required

Work Environment

This position operates on a day shift from 6am to 6pm. Our Client is a strategic milk protein manufacturer located in the Finger Lakes region of New York, an area rich with natural resources ideal for raising dairy cows. All farmer-owners are within 40 miles of the manufacturing facility, ensuring a consistent and stable milk supply for fast, functional processing to deliver the freshest, premium ingredients possible.
